Family services office provides emergency food, utility assistance or assistance with utilities, summer day camp, holiday assistance, and check status on COVID-19 rent/utility relief through Rent Relief Utah portal. May provide clothing vouchers on a limited basis.

COVID-19 UPDATE: Additional funding for the REACH (gas) program is available to those who are directly affected by job loss or reduction of hours due to COVID-19. A one time distribution of $250 ($300 for Veterans) is available to those who qualify, until funds are exhausted. At this time, no donation pick up service is offered.

    For donations by mail, please make checks payable to 'The Salvation Army' and clearly marked 'disaster relief' or labeled with the name of the disaster response you are supporting (for example, 'Haiti Earthquake').       Completed application 24 hours in advance. Proof of address: rent receipt or utility bill. Proof of income: paycheck stub. Proof of identification for minors: birth certificate, immunization record, Social Security or Medicaid card.

      No restrictions for food pantry; for Last Mile Delivery, must live within ten mile radius of pantry.

                Thanksgiving Meals

                Description

                Delivers meals primarily to individuals who are seniors, home-bound and/or disabled. If available, will assist low income families until full. Information updated as it becomes available. COVID-19 UPDATE: Following all CDC and State guidelines. Meal is available at this time to anyone in need, and will be delivered by volunteers on Thanksgiving Day by 3 pm.

                  Provides assistance with utility bills for qualifying Rocky Mountain Power (electricity), Dominion Energy (gas), and Salt Lake City Corporation (water) once in a 12 month period. Can assist with applying for the HEAT program. COVID-19 UPDATE: Additional funding for the REACH (gas) program is available to those who are directly affected by job loss or reduction of hours due to COVID-19.                   DOMINION ENERGY (natural gas), someone in the household must be: 1) over 60 years old; or 2) under 5 years old; or 3) receiving SSI/SSDI (social security income or disability); or 4) a veteran; or 5) household must be under the 150% federal poverty level income guidelines. All clients must have already applied for HEAT assistance if assistance is needed during regular HEAT season, Nov - Mar. No shut off notice is required outside of the HEAT program season. ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER (electricity): 1) client must have an active 48 hr. shut off notice; PLUS 2) someone in the household must be over 60 years old; or 3) someone in the household must be under 2 years old; or 4) someone in the household must be receiving SSI/SSDI (social security income or disability); or 5) someone in the household must be a veteran.
