Description:
A multi-purpose government association and organization, utilizing the combined resources of three counties (Cache, Box Elder and Rich), to provide a more effective means for planning and development of the physical, economic, and human resources of the region. Services include weatherization and RSVP programs, home rehabilitation grants, indigent and non-emergency medical transportation, veteran benefits assistance, COVID-19 related mortgage payment assistance, utility service payment assistance (HEAT) and area agencies on aging services.

Description
Provides short-term mortgage payment assistance for homeowners primary residence and impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 UPDATE: Following all CDC and State guidelines.

Intake packet, and the following for all household members: Social Security/Permanent Resident Cards, Birth Certificates, photo ID (over 18), and proof of income for those under 60. Documents supporting crisis (unemployment status, medical bills), proof of home ownership (title, deed, or tax notice) and Notice of Default.
Eligibility
Must be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and earn less than 80% of the Area Median Family Income (AMFI). Due to limited funds, priority will be given to those households with one or more of the following: Notice of Default, below 50% AMFI, include one or more persons with disabilities, one or more elderly persons, one or more children under 6 months, or households was approved the previous month but did not receive assistance. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
Description
An RSVP volunteer provides companionship through in-person visits, phone calls, or letter writing, per the client's level of comfort. RSVP volunteers also provide respite (temporary relief for disabled/dementia caregivers) for caregivers. RSVP Volunteers are a liaison to provide information about community resources, such as grocery shopping, transportation, and other services necessary to maintain independence. Eligibility
Call if interested in being a volunteer or a client who needs a volunteer. Volunteers must be 55 and older, preferably retired or desire to provide at least 1 hour of community service a week, with flexible hours. Clients served are homebound, disabled, isolated, or otherwise would like companionship or respite relief. Volunteers undergo a criminal background check. HEAT Crisis Assistance Program
Description
Provides year-round energy assistance and energy related crisis assistance for eligible low-income households throughout Utah. The program runs each year from October 1 through September 30. A one-time benefit is provided per year per household, up to two utility accounts. Administers the Utility Moratorium Program to prevent winter utility shut-off between November 15 and March 15 of each winter. For a limited time, those who qualify for utility payment assistance, may also qualify for water and/or cooling payment assistance. COVID-19 UPDATE: Following all CDC and State guidelines.

Eligibility
Crisis Assistance (available in the off-season of the HEAT program) eligibility: for those experiencing unforeseen emergency situations; eligibility is decided on a case-by-case basis. Regular HEAT season (from November - April) eligibility: total household income at 150% of the federal poverty level or below, household is responsible for paying home energy costs, and household contains at least one US citizen or qualified non-citizen. Help available to household one time from November to April.

Individuals, families, elderly persons (60 years of age or older), and the handicapped who are poor and meeting 125 percent or less of the current federal poverty income guidelines are eligible to participate in the Weatherization Assistance Program. However, priority is given to the elderly and handicapped, high-energy consumption, emergency situations, and where pre-school children are present.
