Service Tree

The Service Tree lists all services in "branched" groups, starting with the very general and moving to the very specific. Click on the name of any group name to see the sub-groups available within it. Click on a service code to see its details and the providers who offer that service.

Federated Giving Programs

Joint fund-raising efforts usually administered by a nonprofit "umbrella" organization like United Way, United Jewish Appeal or the United Negro College Fund which, in turn, distributes the contributed funds to several nonprofit agencies.

Governmental Contracts/Grants Offices

City, county, state or federal government offices that are responsible for handling grants and contracts for the provision of services.

Public Charities

Nonprofit organizations that derive their funding or support primarily from a broad segment of the general public to carry out their social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare; and are exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Public charities are the recipients of most foundation and corporate grants, and some also provide grants.
