MAG HEAT Program

Provides year round energy assistance and energy related crisis assistance for eligible low income households throughout Utah. The program runs each year from October 1 through September 30.

Description:

Provides year-round energy assistance and energy-related crisis assistance to eligible low-income households throughout Utah. The program runs each year from October 1 through September 30. Limited benefit offered for water and/or cooling payment assistance. Also, it offers a crisis benefit. A crisis is defined as when a household receives a 48-hour shutoff notice or is within 10% of depleting deliverable fuel and faces sudden or unexpected events beyond their control resulting in the inability to pay household heating costs.

Eligibility:
Total household income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level; household is responsible for paying home energy costs; household contains at least one US citizen or legal permanent resident.
Service Hours:
M - Th 8 am - 5 pm; F 9 am - 3 pm

Apply on the website or print and mail the application.
