Circles is a resource for families who would like to improve their lives by increasing their social capital, improving job skills, and connecting to members of the community. Through training and weekly meetings, participants (called Circle Leaders) build friendships with volunteers (called Allies). Circles equips families and individuals with the relationships, confidence, skills, and knowledge required to be self-reliant. Circles is a long-term program that assists families and individuals in reaching financial stability.
Promotes school readiness for children ages birth to 3 from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Home visitation program where families receive visits from teachers in their own home.
Computer lab and assistance to create a career portfolio (resume, cover letter, references), as well as training on interview skills, job-search skills, networking, and assistance for transportation to interviews. Portfolio and digital copy of resume on thumb drive upon completion of entire course.
