Morgan Senior Citizens Center

Provides support to the 60 and older population by providing affordable lunches, health and wellness services, a variety of workshops and activities, socialization, caregiver support group, senior ride/companion/RSVP programs, and educational opportunities for the older adults of Morgan County.

Description:

Senior companion provides home visits, companionship, and assistance to other seniors to help maintain their independence and provide respite to caregivers. Foster Grandparents serve as role models and friends, and serve in preschools, schools, and after school programs tutoring and helping children.

Age 55 or older; background check required.

Description:

Provides daily home delivered 'Meals on Wheels' nutritious lunch meals to homebound seniors ages 60 or older (except on weekends and holidays, when frozen meals are available in advance if needed). Special diets (diabetic, bland, strict sodium) are available based on advance request.

AmeriCorps Seniors Program recruits volunteers age 55 or older, to share their time, wisdom, life experiences, and skills to strengthen local communities. RSVP provides opportunities with local organizations that are flexible and based on the volunteer's interests and the time available to give.
