Violence and Injury Prevention Program

Strives to eliminate needless suffering and death from injuries and violence. Provides information and referrals for the issues of prevention and recovery of brain injury (TBI) in the state of Utah. Finally, VIPP administers the Nalaxone (Narcan) treatment program for the reversal of opioid drugs and heroin.

Description:

Naloxone (Narcan) is a safe and legal drug that can reverse overdoses from heroin and prescription opioids. Naxolone sites are available to families with individuals in their lives who are at increased risk of experiencing an overdose; Naxolone sites can fill a prescription for emergency purposes only.
