Provides space to garden in the community, the expertise to assist others, and the education through gardening/landscaping instruction to empower current and future generations of organic gardeners. Offers the Seeds of Success Program (see Job Readiness service for details). Provides court ordered community services, job readiness, youth enrichments programs, and construction and home maintenance volunteer opportunities.

Description:

Volunteers are needed to do construction and general gardening tasks such as weeding, mulching, watering, and related tasks. The program aims to revitalize underutilized urban areas while providing opportunities to women facing homelessness. Volunteers must be ready to arrive ready to work outdoors. They are asked to dress according to the weather, bring work gloves, closed toe shoes, food, and anything reasonably needed.

Seeds of Success is a no cost job training program that helps single moms living in poverty access job training and placement services. During the program, moms will also have the opportunity to work on the Green Team Farm and grow their own food while developing critical job skills.
