SSI
Description:

A Federal income supplement program funded by general tax revenues (not Social Security taxes). SSI provides help to the elderly, blind and/or disabled who have little or no income. It also provides cash for basic needs like food, clothing and shelter.

Eligibility:
Individuals between the ages of 18 to 65 who have never been married, are not blind, are a U.S. citizen residing in U.S. territory, haven't applied for or received disability or SSI benefits in the past, and are applying for SS Disability Insurance at the same time as the SSI claim.

Description:

Social Security Retirement Benefits
Description:

Administers public's retirement funds when individual is planning to retire. Includes online assistance for individuals planning on retiring.

Eligibility:

Description:

Medicare is the national health insurance program for people age 65 and older.

Description:

Individuals 18 and older not currently receiving benefits from SS, unable to work due to a medical condition that is expected to last at least 12 months or result in death, have not been denied disability benefits in the last 60 days.

Social Security Fraud Reporting
Description:

Fraud reporting includes making false statements on claims, concealing facts or events that affect eligibility, misuse of benefits, buying or selling counterfeit or legitimate social security cards among other misrepresenting actions.

Description:

Assistance with obtaining social security numbers and cards. If you are age 18 and a US citizen you can order a replacement SSN card online.
