Utah Adult Education Services

Provides programs for adults who are at less than a post-secondary level or who have limited English proficiency to become literate. Programs assist adults in acquiring skills and knowledge that lead to further education, future employment, and personal success, through basic adult education, ESL, and adult high school diploma programs.

Description:

For learners who need to improve basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills. Services include classroom instruction, one-to-one tutoring, computer-assisted instruction and distance learning. Services are delivered by a diverse provider network composed of community-based organizations (CBOs), local education agencies (LEAs), and correctional education.

Eligibility:
Residents of the state of Utah (individuals 18 or older and out-of-school youth ages 16 or older) who are legal residents of the United States, making Utah their permanent home.

Assists adults in completing high school and receiving a diploma or recognized equivalent. Students must meet state and local requirements. Any credits earned in high school or at other adult education programs may be applied towards earning high school credit. Credits may be awarded for prior work experience.
