Description
Offers individuals low-interest loans for the rehabilitation or reconstruction of their existing home. Also helps homeowners make home improvements, address accessibility issues, replace older housing stock, reduce overcrowding, update plumbing or electric and address any other type of housing concern.

Description
Provides one month's rental assistance to individuals or families who are eligible. The program is only available as funding is available. For a limited time, those who qualify for rent and utility payment assistance, may also qualify for water payment assistance. COVID-19 - UPDATE: As of July 31, 2020 the temporary Rental Assistance is now open to those who are receiving unemployment benefits. Additional funding has been received and eligibility requirements have changed. Those who quality can receive up to $2000 for rent and utility purposes.

Eligibility
Individuals or families who are 125% at or below the federal poverty level. Must have an eviction notice and be able to prove ability to pay future payments. Renter must provide 25% of rental payment, and the agency will only provide up to $750 in assistance. COVID-19 UPDATE: Must have a combined gross income at or below 100% AMI and have experienced a documented COVID-19 loss of income or financial hardship. Funds can be used for the following expenses incurred from March 1, 2020 - December 30, 2020: Rent, Utilities (water, sewer, electrical, gas) Security Deposits, arrears (payments made for housing assistance over 30 days past due) is allowable for those that didn't receive an unemployment benefit for the months seeking arrearages, late fees.

Call to set up an appointment. COVID-19 UPDATE: Call or go online. Rental Assistance (rent and utilities) will be $2000 or less per month. Applicants must reapply monthly. No limit to how many times an applicant can be approved within the window of time the program operates. Rent payments must go directly to the landlord, and utility assistance must go directly to the utility companies.

Description
Qualified applicants work with a contractor to build a home and the USDA provides a mortgage based on income.

Applicants who do not currently own a home, who meet USDA/Rural development loan qualifications regarding good credit allowable debts, and whose income does not exceed 80% of their county's median income.

HEAT (Home Energy Assistance Target) Program
Description
The HEAT Program provides year-round energy assistance and energy related crisis assistance for eligible low-income households throughout Utah. The program runs each year from October 1 through September 30. For a limited time, those who qualify for rent and utility payment assistance, may also qualify for water payment assistance.

Required Documents
Photo ID for primary applicant; Social Security cards for everyone in the household; most recent utility bills; proof of ALL household income from previous month. Optional documents which increase HEAT benefit: proof of medical expenses paid the previous month; proof of child support and/or alimony paid previous month; proof of disability; Birth Certificate for a child in home age 5 or under.
Eligibility
Total household income at or below 150% of the federal poverty level; household is responsible for paying home energy costs; household contains at least one US citizen or legal permanent resident.
