Full day summer programs for students entering 1st -12th grades are provided for youth and their families who live, learn, work, play in South Salt Lake.
The Co-Op is a space to connect, work, learn, and grow located inside the South Salt Lake Community Center. Provides education and other resources for digital inclusion, financial empowerment, career and business advancement, and basic needs services and referrals.
The Workforce Inclusion and Successful Employment (WISE) Program is for individuals who are committed to setting goals and completing tasks towards career advancement outcomes.
The Teen Tech Center provides members an innovative space filled with state-of-the-art technology that members can use as tools to complete passion projects, such as making music, creating multimedia art, designing 3D objects, and much more. A safe space for teens to be themselves through collaboration and creativity.
The Family and Community Engagement Team is available to support families and youth to thrive in South Salt Lake and can help facilitate access to various community resources and programs.
Volunteer opportunities are available in a variety of capacities. Individuals who wish to volunteer with youth, seniors, and families must participate in a scheduled orientation, and pass a background check. Volunteers must comply with all city policies regarding volunteer interaction. One-time volunteers, individuals or groups volunteering in activities that do not have interactions with youth, are not required to do a background check.
Each day includes snack and dinner services, homework help or tutoring, enrichment activities which include; model prevention programming, art, STEM, recreation, service learning, and college and career prep. The programs are supported by staff trained in best practices, college mentors and volunteers, and programming partners.
