Brigham Suicide Prevention

Hosts community events to support groups and suicide prevention programs for surviving people, and those who have lost a loved one, in order to prevent and support those who have been affected by it. Related volunteer opportunities available.

Description:

Provides a website with local and national mental health resources and information, hosts and supports a variety of suicide prevention community events, presentations, and activities, and invites anyone in the community who is interested to join the monthly Prevention Coalition meetings.

Description:

Offers two support groups: Hope After Suicide Loss Support Group where those who have lost a loved one to suicide meet to talk and support one another. There is also an 8 week closed support group for those who have survived an attempted suicide that provides a safe, non-judgmental place to talk about the feelings that led to a suicide attempt and its impact. Groups are composed of 5 to 8 people; the same people will be in the group for the entire 8 weeks.

Those who have lost a loved one to suicide, or have survived a suicide attempt or have persistent thoughts about suicide.
