Affordable Connectivity Program

Provides a monthly discount towards broadband service for eligible households. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers. Households enrolled in the previous EBB program will need to 'opt-in' to ACP to continue receiving internet services.

Description:

Provides a discount of up to $30 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price. Households enrolled in the previous EBB program will need to 'opt-in' to ACP to continue receiving internet services. If continued, participant will be billed provider's general monthly rate. Some households may receive internet at no cost, based on recent participating providers reducing high-speed internet fees.

See website for specific qualifications. Households have new ways to qualify for the Affordable Connectivity Program such as: receiving WIC benefits or having an income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Intake Procedure:
Ask existing provider if they are participating; if so, provider can help with application process. Otherwise, apply online or mail in application with required documentation. EBB Fixed Broadband refer to home internet; EBB Mobile Broadband refers to wireless internet, similar to cell phone services. Visit website for more information and participating internet providers.
