Safe Havens for Abandoned Newborns
Description:

Utah law allows birth parents to anonymously give up custody of their newborn child without facing any legal consequences. Any Utah hospital, open 24 hours, is designated as Safe Haven for newborns to be dropped off safely. DCFS then places the child for an immediate adoption.

Eligibility:
Newborn can be dropped of at the hospital by the mother or a person acting with the mother's permission.

Intake Procedure:
The baby should be dropped of at a hospital that is open 24 hours a day. The infant should be left with a hospital worker wearing proper identification or a name badge.

Stroke: Survivors of a stroke or head injury and caregivers
Parkinson's: Individuals experiencing Parkinson's Disease
Diabetes: People that are living with diabetes
Service Hours:
Stroke: 3rd W 4 pm, Parkinson's: 3rd W of every month at 10 am, Diabetes: 3rd W of every month at 1 pm
