Weber County Animal Services

Has responsibility over all large, stray animals, and livestock within Weber County boundaries. Services include licensing, control, and animal shelter. Related volunteer opportunities also available.

Animal Shelters
Description:

Provides public safety and protects the health and welfare of the animals in our communities.

Eligibility:
Weber County EXCEPT the following cities who provide their own Animal Control: South Ogden City, Riverdale City and Pleasant View City.
Service Hours:
Tu - Sa 10:30 am - 5:30 pm
Intake Procedure:
Call or walk in. Appointments must be made for owner surrender pets, feral/community cats, pet meet and greets, and owner requested euthanasia.

Animal Licenses
Description:

Registration and licensing for domestic pets. Pet licenses are renewable every year.

Eligibility:
Weber County residents EXCEPT the following cities do their own licensing: South Ogden City, Riverdale City, and Pleasant View City.

Intake Procedure:
Walk in for new license applications. Sent by mail or visit website for renewals.

Animal Control
Description:

Office to report problems such as stray animals, accidents involving animals, and too many or neglected animals.

Eligibility:
Weber County except the following cities who provide their own Animal Control: South Ogden City, Riverdale City and Pleasant View City.

Animal Services Volunteer Opportunities
Description:

Shelter volunteers are essential to operations and are involved in a variety of activities, ranging from dog walking to special adoption events. Committed to helping find permanent homes for all the shelter animals.

Eligibility:
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Potential volunteers must attend an orientation, must submit to a background check by the Weber County Sheriff's Office.
