Assistance League of Southern Utah

Provides new clothing for underprivileged children. Also, provides books and volunteer time to help in the school's literacy needs.

Description:

Provides a program that takes children and parent/guardian to shop for new school clothing at a local Walmart store on a specific scheduled date. Referrals are gathered mid-August. Shopping starts in September and goes through mid-November. Also, provides new books to children.

Eligibility:
Financially disadvantaged children (K-12) that are on the free or reduced lunch program.

Intake Procedure:
Children are recommended by school guidance counselors who identify children in need within the schools. The Assistance League of Southern Utah sends authorization forms to the children who the school determines qualify. Talk to a counselor at the school to receive services. Do not contact directly.
