Job Corps - Weber Basin

Education and training program to help young people age 16 to 24 learn a career, earn a high school diploma or GED, and find and keep a good job. Comprehensive services to support students including Job Training Format and Job Corps.

Description:

Education and career technical training program run by the U.S. Department of Labor to help young people improve the quality of their lives. Participants live on site and receive a basic living allowance based on academic and career skills achieved while in the program.

Eligibility:
Ages 16 to 24, low income, and no outstanding court fines or community service orders.
Service Hours:
M - F 8 am - 4 pm

Description:

Participants receive education and/or training to learn a career, earn a high school diploma or GED, and find and keep a good job. Students receive basic medical care, career counseling, and meals while they live on campus. Available trades include carpentry, fire crew, culinary arts, electrical, facilities maintenance, and office administration.
