American Indian Services

Provides scholarships for Native American undergraduate students. Also provides a STEM course in the summer for students 7th, 8th, and 9th grades.

Description:

Provides a six-week course in the summer for students 7th, 8th, and 9th grades with an interest and aptitude in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM programs are currently held for Shoshone/Bannock, ID; Navajo, UT; Navajo: AZ, Navajo, NM; Sioux, SD; Hopi, AZ; Zuni; NM.

Eligibility:
Students in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. Focus on Native American youth, but will accept any race or nationality.
Service Hours:
M - F 8:50 am - 3 pm

Provides scholarships for youth of Native American heritage. Multiple scholarships available yearly.

Eligibility:
Students applying must be enrolled in college, junior college, or technical school, have at least one-quarter Native American blood from a federally recognized tribe and have a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher. Applicants are selected to receive scholarships based on economic need or academic achievement.

M - F 9 am - 5 pm
