Assessment Counseling and Educational Services

Evaluates and place the client in the most appropriate and effective level of substance use disorder treatment for hi the client's unique needs. Random urinalysis is included in the treatment as well as an aftercare program.

The therapy model provided to clients focuses on abstinent behavior. The individual and group activities guide clients in understanding how they can avoid substance problems.

Performs substance use/abuse evaluations with a focus on informing clients about services that would be most appropriate for them. The evaluation includes completing all appropriate paperwork as well as a one-on-one interview with our clinical staff. The process typically takes an hour and a half.

Provides mental health evaluations with a focus on helping clients identify which services would be effective for r them. This includes completing all appropriate paperwork as well as a one-on-one interview with the clinical staff. The process typically takes about an hour and a half.

Provides a psychosocial evaluation to every client. This includes a review of the incident report and the criminal background report. A risk assessment is completed. The program uses techniques from both Social Learning Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients. Clients are taught to identify triggers, thinking errors, and the cycle of violence. They learn to use time-outs, stress management, communication skills, thinking errors, and relationship clarification.

Provides one-day classes on anger management techniques and coping skills.
