Operates within the police department. Animal service officers enforce city codes and ordinances relating to domestic pets, issues domestic pet licenses, and handles complaints/ concerns about neighborhood dogs and cats such as animal bites or attacks.

Roy City residents and visitors. It is required that all dogs and cats in the city must be licensed and registered each year within 30 days of entering the city, or 4 months of age. It is unlawful for any person to license more than 2 dogs or cats unless allowed under provision of the Roy City Code.
