Provides individual and group counseling and support groups for victims of domestic violence.
Class is normally taught in one six hour block. It centers on educating the individual about the root or source of anger and assists in developing effective coping skills to better understand, manage and prevent anger and aggression. Various assessment tools are utilized in determining the source of anger and its triggers, then developing coping skills via cognitive approaches.
Provides treatment for court-ordered clients and others seeking drug or alcohol, counseling, or mental health treatment as well as educational classes, and workshops.
Assists victims of domestic violence with crime victims' reparation and Medicaid, helps them find housing, and gives referrals. This is a not for profit service. May also assist families to escape abuse, change their names, and move safely out of the state from their abusers.
