Wasatch Behavioral Health STRIDE/XCEL

An after school treatment program offered to improve emotional regulation, behavior management, and social skills for elementary-age students (age 5-12). XCEL is an after school treatment program offered to improve emotional regulation, behavior management, and social skills for for adolescents (age 13-18).

Description:

STRIDE is an after school and summer Day Treatment program designed to help children ages 5-12 to improve coping and social skills.
Offered in Payson, Provo, and American Fork. XCEL provides social skills, emotional regulation skills, and coping strategies for adolescents ages 13 - 18.

Eligibility:
For elementary school children and adolescents who are experiencing social skill deficiencies due to mental illness, emotional challenges, or trauma. Can be referred by parents, schools, therapists, court, doctors, or other services. STRIDE serves elementary children, XCEL serves adolescents.

Intake Procedure:
Call or email to enroll in the program. Do not need to have Medicaid or be a prior Wasatch Behavioral Health client. May be a waiting list for both programs.
Fees:
No cost for eligible low-income families. There is a small fee for those families that are not low-income.
