Kids Cause

School-based services for low-income school children. Students who need glasses, shoes, clothing, winter coats, or emergency dental needs can receive these items through the Kids Cause coordinator at their school. An entity of the Woodland Peaks UniServ office.

Audiological Evaluations
Description:

Provides assistance with accessing and paying for audiological evaluations and for those who qualify, assistance paying for hearing aids.

Eligibility:
Varies by service. Often serves low-income families or families without insurance. Serves elementary, middle, and high school-aged children.
Service Hours:
Hours vary
Intake Procedure:
Services based on referrals made by the teachers, principal, and/or school nurse. Parents need to contact the school to talk to the Kids Cause Representative at the school to access services.
Fees:
No cost for most items. For high dollar items, parents are asked to make minor monetary contributions.

Glasses/Contact Lenses
Description:

Provides glasses to low income students.
