Friends For Sight

Provides comprehensive vision screenings for all ages at health fairs, events, and schools, for visual acuity, peripheral vision, and glaucoma. Also offers glasses/ contact lenses, health/ disabilities related volunteer opportunities, and voluntary health organizations.

Description:

Volunteers help with screenings, events, and clinics throughout the community. Must attend training before can assist with screenings.

Eligibility:
16 years and older. Must attend training prior to volunteering, call or apply online to schedule a training.

M - F 8:30 am - 4 pm

Primarily serving individuals with household income at or under 200% of federal poverty level and have not used Friends for Sight services during the last 12 months. Contact for further eligibility details.

Operates a vision clinic located in the Glendale-Mountain View and Liberty Community Learning Centers, a Salt Lake City School District project, and SIGHTFEST events with various local school districts for economically disadvantaged students.
