Uses a group-education model combined with individual case management, referrals, and forms assistance to promote healthy and informed pregnancies among expectant Latinx mothers in Salt Lake and Summit Counties. The program collaborates with South Main Clinic in Salt Lake City, the People's Health Clinic in Park City, and other clinics in the Salt Lake Valley. The clinics provide direct prenatal care for clients and also provide space for classes free of charge.
Provides the following services: consultations with an immigration attorney or a legally accredited representative, assistance applying for immigration benefits available to victims of domestic violence, support for humanitarian and temporary status applicants, family reunification assistance, and citizenship services.
Licensed clinical social workers offer individual, family, and group therapy to victims of crime with the support of the Utah Office for Victims of Crime. The Counseling Program also offers trauma-informed parenting classes and support groups.
Assists individuals in navigating the complexities of the healthcare system by assisting with applications for CHIP/Medicaid and coverage re-enrollment forms and social services, referrals specific to clients' needs, access to community services, as well as ongoing support and advocacy, and community education through a variety of health workshops.
Through 2 home visits per month, Parents as Teachers (PAT) Parent Educators provide home visiting services to parents of children ages 0-3 by facilitating developmentally appropriate activities, annual hearing and vision screenings, early detection of developmental delays, and monitoring social-emotional development and parent's life skills and abilities.
Provides early childhood education and support for parents and their three- and four-year-old children through the School Readiness preschool program. The curriculum aligns with Utah's Common Core State Standards.
Provides bilingual, multicultural outreach workers based in low-income clinics throughout Northern Utah who assist low-income families with critical needs to community social programs, facilitate prenatal classes, health access, and outreach services.
