Provides services to individuals with disabilities including advocacy, independent living skills training, youth transition and nursing home/institution transition, peer support, information and referral services, community integration recreational activities, assistive technology equipment services, limited transportation, and Ticket to Work program. Also, provides transportation services to and from the center and activities for those who have no other alternate transportation.

Description:

Consumer Advocacy involves center staff working with individuals to obtain necessary support services from other community agencies. Community Systems Change Advocacy involves staff, board members, and volunteers initiating activities to advocate social and political change for individuals with disabilities.

Individuals with disabilities who are receiving SSI or SSDI. Must be 18-64 years old. Ability 1st Utah Employment Services will determine whether or not a client is a good candidate.
