Ability Found

Provides durable medical and rehabilitation equipment, for children and adults with disabilities who cannot afford it. Disabilities include conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis, stroke, cancer, spinal cord injuries, gene abnormalities, hydrocephalus, amputations, diabetes, congenital impairments, heart disease, and lung disease.

Description:

Medical and rehabilitation equipment provided includes power wheelchairs, power scooters, manual wheelchairs with custom seating, handicapped vans, or car lifts, walkers, gait trainers, standing frames, bath equipment, braces, hospital beds, and pressure-relieving mattresses. Does not provide prosthetics or medical supplies and does not pay for medical bills or insurance.

Eligibility:
Anyone in need of vital medical or rehabilitation equipment who does not have the financial means or insurance coverage to obtain it elsewhere.
Service Hours:
M - F 8:30 am - 4 pm
Intake Procedure:
Fill out an Equipment Evaluation and Request form with a professional service provider, such as a physical, occupational, or speech therapist. Form available on the website.
Fees:
Low or no cost. Call for applicable fees.
