Through education and planning with parents, HS addresses all aspects of parenting and child development including health, nutrition, safety, movement and music, social and emotional development, and the importance of the relationship between parent and child, and school readiness.
In the Early Head Start Home-Based program, a home visitor provides weekly 1 1/2 hr visits to prenatal moms and families with children 0-3. EHS families attend a socialization group twice a month. Positive, nurturing parent-child interactions are the focus of all services and activities.
