Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake - Lied Club

Boys/Girls club providing after school and out of school care day camps, guidance, and recreation with emphasis on youth enrichment and development for all youth 1st grade to 12th grade. Serves Salt Lake City's Marmalade and Capitol West Neighborhoods. Trained staff provide the young members with guidance in adopting healthy lifestyles, pursuing educational objectives, resolving conflicts peacefully, and improving overall relationships. Goal is to inspire and empower youth, families, and communities to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Clubs offer evidence based, quality programs. Related volunteer and court community services opportunities available.

Description:

Help youth age 6 to 18. Responsibilities vary by club location and time of year. Opportunities available for individuals and groups.

Eligibility:
Adults age 18 and older. Volunteer commitment of one (1) hour per week for three (3) months.

M - F 2:30 - 6:30 pm
Intake Procedure:
Call for volunteer schedule, submit online volunteer application, attend a volunteer orientation, and provide a background check. Volunteer applicant will be contacted for an interview with the Volunteer coordinator.

Only accepts youth offenders ages 6 to 18. No violent, sexual or severe drug offenses.

Volunteers under 18 do not complete the adult volunteer process; they become registered club members and work through the juniors and teen programs.
