Carbon County Head Start and Early Head Start

Head Start and Early Head Start programs that focus on teaching children social competence to increase their success in their present environment and later experiences and responsibilities in school.

Description:

Parents work directly with a Family Educator to develop, prepare, and execute lesson plans during home visits twice a month. Your child will also have the opportunity to participate in a classroom setting with children their own age two days a week. A home visitor provides weekly 1 1/2 hr visits to prenatal moms and families with children 0-3. EHS families attend a socialization group twice a month. Through education and planning with parents, EHS addresses all aspects of parenting and child development including: health, nutrition, safety, movement and music, social and emotional development and the importance of the relationship between parent and child.
