Catholic Community Services of Utah - Basic Needs Salt Lake

Offers homeless individuals daytime shelter with access to food, food stamps/SNAP applications, clothing and grooming supplies, showers, haircuts, nail care, laundry facilities, storage, job finding/employment seeking assistance, plus other personal needs based on case management and client eligibility, with possible referrals to a variety of other community services. Also provides seasonal services to the community including school supplies and holiday gifts and meals. Related volunteer opportunities are available and household goods are accepted for donation.

Food Production/Preparation/Delivery Volunteer Opportunities
Description:

Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve meals to the homeless population.

Eligibility:
Volunteer must be 13 years or older. Ages 13 - 15 must volunteer with a parent or guardian, ages 16 - 18 must have a written parent authorization on file.
Service Hours:
Lunch: M - F 11:30 am - 12:30 pm; Dinner: Su - Sa 5 - 6 pm. Brunch: Sa 10 - 11 am

Disaster Related Shelter Services
Description:

Emergency cold weather beds available as a part of expanded capacity due to Code Blue. Relaxed intake requirements and expedited intake.

Must not present a danger to staff or other visitors.

Minimum age 15. No theft, violent, or sexual offenses.
