The Weigand Center "day shelter" provides volunteer opportunities. Duties include working in the clothing room, checking in clients, and maintaining the center's cleanliness.

Provides personal/grooming and hygiene products that are individually portioned per shower.

Community partners provide haircuts to unsheltered people every Monday afternoon.

Provides showers, hygiene products, and towels to unsheltered men and women.

Provides court-ordered community service opportunities. Duties may include working in the food pantry kitchen and outdoor yard work.

Provides a daytime refuge from the heat and cold to unsheltered people. While there, individuals may use the many services and programs at the center.

Partners with the Utah Department of Workforce Services to help people locate and apply for employment. Assists anyone needing a job with building a resume, and cover letter, interviewing skills, and completing job applications.

Assists clients with referrals for community services and direct help with: clothing, and other personal needs based on client eligibility.

The dining hall provides two nutritious meals daily for any person who is hungry and has no other resources.

Assists people with applying for SNAP (food stamp) benefits.

Provides seasonal clothing to people in need.

Offers volunteer opportunities for preparing and serving meals. Duties include chopping and peeling vegetables, preparing plates as clients enter the facility, and other kitchen-related duties.

Emergency cold weather beds are available as a part of expanded capacity due to Code Blue. This service is for adults only, no children are permitted. Relaxed intake requirements and expedited intake.
