Centro Hispano

Working together with other community organizations, Centro Hispano provides direct service in Spanish to immigrant families living within Utah County. Services include citizenship education, resume preparation help, help with certificates and forms, language translation, life skills and parenting classes, immigration/naturalization services, information and referral, and wellness programs.

Provides attornies that can help with representation in all kinds of immigration legal cases such as asylum, adjustment of status, N-400, VAWA, and U VISA.

Provides document translation and interpretation services for the community. Any documents can be translated except for documents from the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Translation is only in the office. Will not leave the office and go with an individual to do translation.

Description:

Offers many different legal services, including notary service, assistance filling out online divorce applications (fee may apply), assistance on INS forms for citizenship and replacement of resident card (fee may apply), assistance with filling out Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and unpaid wages claims.

Provides a parenting class to encourage parents to take the lead in talking with their children about STDs and HIV, preparing for college, having healthy relationships, and saving money and finance. Classes are one-on-one and in a group setting.

Six-week course that prepares individuals for the naturalization exams. Course goes over 100 possible questions, U.S. history, and government. Form N-400. Taught in English with classroom lecture and one-on-one help.
