Community Action Partnership - St George

Provides services for low-income individuals and families to be more self-sustaining. Services include birth certificate and driver's license fee payment assistance, bus fare and gas reimbursement, court-ordered community service referral program, diapers, discounted internet service, homeless diversion program, mortgage payment assistance, non-emergency medical transportation, rental payment and deposit assistance, and utility payment assistance.

Mortgage Payment Assistance
Description:

Provides mortgage payment, HOA fee, and property tax payment assistance to those who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.

Eligibility:
Must be able to show they've been negatively impacted by COVID-19. Must be 30 days or more behind mortgage payment. Must be part of a priority population (Native American, African American, Latino). Must be below 150% federal poverty line.

Description:

Homeless Diversion Programs
Description:

Provides rapid rehousing for those who are currently homeless and meet qualifications.

Eligibility:
For individuals who are homeless. Can be in a homeless shelter and still qualify.

Court Ordered Community Service Referral Programs
Description:

Provides court-appointed service packets to individuals who have been charged by the court to complete volunteer hours in lieu of a fine or punishment.

$1 for every hour assigned, up to $50

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
Description:

Limited financial assistance or gas vouchers may be available to seniors needing transportation to medical appointments. Limited funding available.

Eligibility:
Seniors 60 years and older needing financial assistance for medical appointment transportation. Must be unable to use other senior transit programs.

Description:

Provides bus fare for those seeking assistance with transportation to work.

Description:

Provides gas reimbursements for those seeking assistance with transportation for employment purposes only. Clients must keep receipts for reimbursements.

Provides one-time rental deposit assistance to those who qualify. The rental, with utilities, cannot exceed 50% of the household income.

Rent Payment Assistance
Description:

Offers rent payment assistance to individuals and families who qualify.

Apply online or call the St. George CAP office to schedule an appointment with a case manager. If a client is not close to the office a visit closer to their location may be made.

Utility Service Payment Assistance
Description:

Provides water payment assistance to those who qualify.

Description:

Provides 100 diapers per month per child in diapers. Also provides wipes.
