Crossroads Urban Center

Assists low income, disabled, and minority Utahns to meet basic survival needs and to address essential issues affecting the quality of life. Services include food, baby items, bus fare and gas money, utility service payment assistance, and prescription expense assistance. Related volunteer opportunities available.

Gas Money
Description:

Gas vouchers available once in a twelve month period, for up to $30.

Eligibility:
Must have current driver's license, a registered vehicle, and name on license and registration must match.

Food Production/Preparation/Delivery Volunteer Opportunities
Description:

Opportunities available to volunteer in the pantry and learn to prepare food orders for individuals, the homes and families experiencing food shortage. May also be asked to help unload food from trucks coming from the Utah Food Bank. Opportunities available to individuals and small groups (2 to 10 people).

Eligibility:
Adults ages 18 and older, able to lift up to 25 lbs, and be reliable and personable.

Attend online volunteer orientation and then sign up through an online portal. If no computer access, please call.

Christmas Baskets
Description:

Christmas basket giveaway. At Rowland Hall Middle School, 970 E 800.

People who need food assistance for Christmas.

Utility Service Payment Assistance
Description:

Provides up to $200 in utility assistance or once per applicant. Note: Does not offer Rent Payment Assistance.

Eligibility:
Must have 48 hour shut off notice and must not have received assistance for utilities from Crossroads in the past 5 years.

Intake Procedure:
Call to check availability of funds at beginning of each month and verify documents required for personal situation. Funds are available at the first of each month until exhausted.

Description:

Up to $100 for medications (excluding controlled substances, pain killers, and certain other medications) once every 12 months per person.

Description:

Thanksgiving drive up food giveaway at Smith's Ballpark Parking Lot, 77 W 1300 S. Walk up options available. Distribution limited to 1 turkey and set of sides per vehicle, regardless of number of families in car.

Individuals and families in need of food assistance for Thanksgiving.

Food pantry assisting and organizing low income, disabled, and minority Utahns to meet basic survival needs and to address essential issues affecting the quality of life.

12 times a year per family; two boxes per month are allowed.
