DDI VANTAGE Early Head Start

Home based parenting educating offering an intensive, comprehensive, and flexible Early Head Start child development program that is designed to reinforce and respond to the unique strengths and needs of each individual child and family. Pregnant women can receive prenatal care and home visitation.

Description:

Provides a home-based service for infants, toddlers, and pregnant women. Once a week, a trained Family Advocate comes into the family home for ninety minutes to offer fun activities, services, and information. The Family Advocate may focus on child development, health and safety, nutrition, reading with child, parent education, prenatal health education, and transportation support. During home visits, the Family Advocate will bring activities and information that focus on goals set by the family and based on the individual family's needs and interests. To promote family health and wellness the program provides well-baby checks, dental exams, and immunization to educate on prevention, early identification, and intervention. Families are also given support, information, and referrals to social services that meet their needs.

Eligibility:
Families who meet 100% of the federal poverty guidelines which includes pregnant woman and children birth to 3 years old who live within the Granite and Murray School Districts. Children with special needs are fully included.

Provides an intensive, comprehensive, and flexible child development program that is designed to reinforce and respond to the unique strengths and needs of each child and family. Pregnant women, toddlers, and infants receive services through weekly home visits or in a collaborative partnership in a community childcare setting.
