Program strives to improve the lives of Utah immigrants/refugees through benefit assistance, employment programs, resettlement services, and cultural transition counseling.

Description:

Provide clinical mental health assessments; referrals, education, workshops, and resources to assist refugees with emotional, psychological, and physical health needs. Those needing assistance outside of Salt Lake County should call for referrals and resources in their area.

Must be TANF-eligible to receive clinical mental health assessments

Provide social service referrals and connections, support, and opportunities for social events for refugee communities, culturally informed services, case management, crisis intervention, and advocacy.

Eligibility:
Those who have been resettled in Utah for less than 2 years may be eligible to receive case management services. Crisis intervention and advocacy are available to any refugee regardless of duration in the United States.

Description:

Provide counseling, workshops, training, ESL and computer literacy classes geared toward helping refugees obtain gainful employment. Offered through the Utah Refugee Education and Training Center.

Eligibility:
For refugees resettled in Utah. Workshops, training, and classes vary widely. A schedule can be found online. Also provide assistance and workshops specifically for women as well as for youth who are of high school age.
