DOVE Center

Provides a domestic violence shelter, a domestic violence hotline, advocacy and counseling to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and domestic violence volunteer opportunities.

Description:

Provides crisis shelter, advocacy and counseling to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Prevention and awareness education to the community, including teens and young adults. Volunteers assist with advocacy, community awareness, prevention education, helpline and shelter support as well as hospital advocacy response team and outreach center support.

Eligibility:
Must be at least 18 years old, pass a criminal background screening and successfully complete orientation and training on topics related to domestic violence and sexual assault. Additional training is required for those providing direct client services including hospital advocacy.

Offers emergency safe shelter for all genders and their accompanied children who are currently at risk for violence or abuse. Advocates assist with crisis intervention and safety planning and will provide community resources, referrals and other tools needed to stay safe and become self-sufficient. Male victims are also served. Accepts service animals and pets.

Women age 18 or older and their dependent children. Help is also available for male victims in a separate location.
