Offers five unique learning programs within one school, focusing on parent involvement, adult education classes in English, citizenship, alternative education, special preschools, and healthy families for low-income and at-risk populations. Other services include early intervention for children with disabilities and volunteer opportunities.

Description:

One school with five programs that provide education and English Language instruction to children and families living in poverty. Volunteers tutor low-income, immigrant adults. Instruction takes place in small groups of 2 - 4 people per group.

Eligibility:
Adults ages 18 and older. Must be proficient in English.

Individuals 18 years of age and older who come from an at-risk economic background. Students must be a refugee or immigrant planning to live in the USA full time. Citizenship classes available as well.

Description:

Home visits focus on parent child interaction, development centered parenting, and family well being, on strengths, capabilities, and skills, and on building protective factors within the family. PAT serves a range of families with high needs not just first time parents, pregnant parents, or teen parents also offers services from birth to kindergarten entry.

At-risk families with children under the age of 5. Families with children under the age of 3 are most likely to receive services.

Focuses on the needs of toddlers who are developmentally delayed or need a boost in language development. Toddlers receive an extra 20 hours of literacy-based care. Parent Educators help the parents be the child's first teacher.
