Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties
Description:
Provides a way for low-income families to own a home through a sweat equity program. Families pay a down payment and a monthly mortgage that goes into a revolving fund used to build houses for other families.
Eligibility:
Qualifications based on need, ability to pay, and willingness to partner with Habitat. Need qualifications include earning no more than 30-80% of the area median income, be willing to complete required sweat equity hours (200 hours for every adult 18+)

Fees:
No cost to apply. Homeowners have a monthly mortgage payment based on family size and income.

A Brush with Kindness is designed to preserve homeownership through a partnership with homeowners who labor to keep up with home repairs and maintenance due to lack of income.
Eligibility:
Individuals must own and live in a home in Summit or Wasatch County, demonstrate a need for exterior home repairs or maintenance, be willing to participate in the project and be able to contribute to the cost of materials.
