Iron County Care and Share

Provides programs and services which help homeless and low-income individuals and families work toward self-sufficiency. Programs include food pantries, homeless shelter, laundry and bathing facilities, birth certificate fee payment assistance, and life skills classes.

Food Pantries
Description:

Provides food items to individuals and families in need.

Eligibility:
No restrictions for first visit. Any returning visit will require proof of income and family size.

Homeless Shelter
Description:

Provides temporary shelter for those who are homeless. Maintains a family, women's, and men's shelter which provides case management, shower and laundry facilities. Sack lunch may also be available.

Eligibility:
Homeless individuals and families. Maximum stay is one month stay per year.

New clients fill out an application at the office.

Birth Certificate Fee Payment Assistance
Description:

Provides fee assistance for birth certificates or driver license for those who qualify.

Eligibility:
Must have a need (lost item, need for a job) and are unable to afford the cost

Disaster Related Shelter Services
Description:

Emergency cold weather beds available as a part of expanded capacity due to Code Blue. Relaxed intake requirements and expedited intake.
