Kane HEAT Program

Provides winter and summer home energy assistance for eligible low-income households throughout the State, between November to April (for assistance after April please call the St. George office). Offers one-time assistance per year per household. Target groups include families with children age five and younger, the elderly, and residents with a disability. For a limited time, those who qualify for utility payment assistance, may also qualify for water and/or cooling payment assistance.

Eligibility:
Total household income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level; household is responsible for paying home energy costs; household contains at least one US citizen or legal permanent resident. OUTREACH is provided only to home bound seniors and disabled clients.

Intake Procedure:
Call local HEAT office for appointment or visit state HEAT website to complete online (Nov - Apr only) or print out application and mail in.
