A non-profit organization that promotes safety, stability, and self-sufficiency for low income families and individuals, as well as victims of domestic violence, through effective, efficient legal advocacy and assistance. Includes self representation, child custody, visitation, and divorce assistance.

Description:

Offers limited legal assistance to income-eligible individuals who are representing themselves without an attorney. Self-representation program is faster and at no cost.

Eligibility:
Case must be going through Third District Court. Must meet income qualifications for Domestic Relations' services.

Low cost legal representation services for low-income individuals with family law cases in Salt Lake County. Cases such as divorce (including common-law), child custody/support, visitation, minor and adult guardianship, and modification of those orders.

Case must be able to be filed in Salt Lake County. Generally, in order to file a new case in Salt Lake County, at least one of the people involved must live in Salt Lake County.

Low cost legal service assistance for divorce cases, custody, modifying and/or enforcing final court orders, grandparent visitation, and minor and adult guardianship cases.

Provides assistance from an attorney and/or paralegal to obtain a protective order or a stalking injunction for adult and/or child victim(s) of domestic violence, regardless of income.

Eligibility:
Victim of domestic violence (physical harm or threat of physical harm) or stalking (more than two incidents of violence or threat of violence).
