Offers a Level III Trauma Center and is staffed 24/7 with compassionate and highly skilled emergency doctors, nurses, technicians, and support staff. All are board certified in emergency medicine. Less than 30 minute wait times are the goal; life flight is also offered for critical care emergencies.

Description:

Utah law allows birth parents to anonymously give up custody of newborn child without facing any legal consequences. Any Utah hospital is designated as Safe Haven for newborns to be dropped off safely. DCFS then places the child for an immediate adoption.

Newborn can be dropped of at the hospital by the mother or a person acting with the mother's permission.

The baby should be dropped of at a hospital that is open 24 hours a day. The infant should be left with a hospital worker wearing proper identification or a name badge.
