Monroe Head Start

Promotes school readiness for children and self-sufficiency for families through Early Head Start and Head Start programs.

Description:

Child development program for low-income children or children with disabilities ages 3-5 years old. Includes educational services, health services to ensure that every child is properly immunized, has dental and physical exams and nutrition services.

Eligibility:
Children 3-4 years old. Head Start is funded through a federal grant. Applicants must provide verification of age and income for the past twelve months or previous calendar year, whichever more accurately reflects the family's current circumstances. Priority is given based on income and additional selection criteria.
Service Hours:
M - Th 8 - 11:30 am. Closed during the summer.
