The District Court has original jurisdiction to try all civil cases, all criminal felonies, such as homicides, assaults, sex and drug offenses, forgery, arson, and robbery, some misdemeanors, adoptions, and probate.

Eligibility:
Primarily Morgan County residents, or incidences/charges that have taken place in Morgan County.

M - F 8 am - 5 pm

Protective/Restraining Orders
Description:

Provides forms for people who need to obtain legal protection by issuing Dating Violence Protective Orders, Sexual Violence Protective Orders, and Civil Stalking Injunctions.

Eligibility:
18 years or older petitioners, respondent residents in Morgan County, or events occurring in Morgan County.
Service Hours:
M - F 8 am - 5 pm
