Rescue Mission of Salt Lake

Provides inpatient recovery program for men and women (separate locations), emergency shelter, prepared meals (3 meals per day), food boxes, clothing, day room, and personal grooming facilities for homeless men, women, and children. Services include food pantry, homeless shelter, transitional housing, baggage check, relapse prevention programs, soup kitchens, and related volunteer opportunities.

Soup Kitchens
Description:

Prepared meals and brown bag lunches.

Eligibility:
All meals are open to anyone. Facility rules and protocols apply.
Service Hours:
Breakfast: M - F 6 - 6:45 am; Lunch: Su - Sa 12:15 - 12:45 pm; Dinner: Su - Sa must be in the building by 7 pm in order to stay for dinner; Brown Bag lunches available outside of times listed.

Homeless Shelter
Description:

Fifty six beds are available for men for 7 days every 30 days (as available). Overflow is available nightly.

Eligibility:
Homeless men. ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY ON DRUGS AND ALCOHOL.

Description:

Provides family food boxes to low income families who need help with groceries.

Christian, faith based, substance abuse recovery program shelter.

Indigent. Income restrictions.

Baggage Check Facilities
Description:

Provides a baggage room just off of the Contact Office where homeless men and women may check in their gear for up to seven days, ONLY if you are staying at the facility overnight.

Homeless Shelter Volunteer Opportunities
Description:

Provides inpatient recovery program for men and women (separate locations), emergency shelter, prepared meals (3 meals per day), food boxes, clothing, day room, and personal grooming facilities for homeless men, women, and children. Services include food pantry, homeless shelter, transitional housing, baggage check, relapse prevention programs, and related volunteer opportunities.

Eligibility:
18+ years of age unless accompanied by guardian, regardless of gender. Female volunteers must be accompanied by one other person. Accept Volunteers aged 10-17 if accompanied by a guardian.
