Salt Lake County District Attorney - West Jordan

Responsible for a wide variety of legal work. The District Attorney's Broadway office is made of the Juvenile Division, Justice Division, and Victim Counseling Unit. Offers crime victim and crime witness support as well as crime victim/witness counseling.

Description:

Supports and helps victims through the justice process. Customarily works with victims of sexual assault, child physical or sexual abuse, and domestic violence. Will also work with family members of homicide victims and for similar cases in juvenile court, but services are not limited solely to these crimes.

Eligibility:
Primarily for victims of crime or family members whose cases are being prosecuted by the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office, but open to anyone who is a victim of a crime.

A program of social workers who advocate for victims, help victims understand the court process, accompany them to court proceedings, assess the victim's needs, and provide referrals or assistance in obtaining support.
