Southeastern Utah Association of Local Governments

Strengthens the role of southeastern Utah local officials in the execution of state and federal programs at the regional level to implement economic development, strategize and educate low-income individuals and seniors, stabilize housing and educate individuals for economic stability. Services include: utility service payment assistance (HEAT program); and homeless motel vouchers.

Description:

The HEAT Program provides year-round energy and water assistance as well as energy and water-related crisis assistance for eligible low income households throughout Utah. Applicants may qualify for a heating benefit (Nov. - Mar.), cooling benefit (Apr. - Sept.), and water assistance when applying for the HEAT Program.

Eligibility:
Total household income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level, household is responsible for paying home energy costs, the household has at least one adult (18 years of age or older or emancipated), household contains at least one US citizen or legal permanent resident.
Service Hours:
M - Th 7:30 am - 5 pm; F 8 am - 12 noon
